Jane’s Addiction Tickets – Box of Goodies

Jane’s Addiction is gearing up for a tour alongside Nine Inch Nails and Street Sweeper, set to kick off in May. In addition, the group has another treat up their sleeves: an upcoming box set collection called A Cabinet of Curiosities. Taking it even a step further, the collection will be packaged in a unique wooden box that resembles an antique curio cabinet, although that package will be limited to only 7,500. The collection will include demos, rarities and live recordings and will contain 43 tracks, 30 of which have never been released to the public. Some of the notable songs include a demo of “Classic Girl,” and the 12″ remix of “Been Caught Steeling.”

All of the music on the box set is that of the original line up of Jane’s Addiction. In addition, the collection will be offered as a digital download. Keep up with all of the latest news involving Jane’s Addiction by getting your own Jane’s Addiction tickets online.

Jane’s Addiction rose quickly through the music ranks when they first appeared on the scene in 1980s Los Angeles. With the wild and flamboyant antics of frontman Perry Farrell, the group rocketed to stardom with their blend of hybrid rock music, emphasizing heavy metal, punk, folk and jazz. Different from anything else available on the market, Jane’s Addiction appeared with their debut Nothing’s Shocking in 1988 on the Warner Brothers label.

Their aggressive sound led some listeners astray, but eventually they gained traction and started appealing to a widespread audience, who were eager to welcome something different into their CD collections. The album spent an impressive 35 weeks on the charts.

Jane’s Addiction found their commercial breakthrough with Ritual de lo Habitual in 1990. The album reached the Top 20 and went gold. Suddenly, as quickly as they rose to success, the group decided to call it quits, and Farrell designed the traveling rock festival Lollapalooza as a farewell tour for the band. The festival was such a success that Farrell continued to be involved with it in the following years after the band’s split. Each member went their separate ways, with Farrell forming Porno for Pyros and Dave Navarro joining the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Luckily for fans, a reunion tour was on the horizon for the band and was finally announced in 1997. One of their first acts as a re-formed band was to issue the album, Kettle Whistle. The record compiled classic live performances and demos as well as several newly recorded tracks. Although it didn’t fare well on the charts, their tour was a giant success. In the following years, the band members would join together periodically to share the stage, but rarely joined forces in the recording studio. Finally in July 2003, the group let lose Strays on Capitol Records and signaled a resurgence of the popular rockers.

First and foremost, Jane’s Addiction is a tour band, noted especially for their live, rousing performances. Their upcoming gigs with Nine Inch Nails are greatly anticipated by fans, so make sure to reserve your Jane’s Addiction tickets today!
